The establishment “Kostanai Social Technical University” named after the academician Zulkharnai Aldamzhar “was founded as the result of re-registration of the constituent act of the establishment “Kostanai Social Academy “( registration certificate № 5845-1937 from the 24th of August, 2006)
“Kostanai Social Academy” establishment was opened in 1998. Academician, Doctor of History, professor, honorary citizen of the state Texas and Kostanai, the knight of Parasat, Zulkharnai Aldamzhar was the founder and the president of Kostanai Social Academy.
In September 15, 2005, under his leadership the university signed the Bologna convention, created the large material and technical basis, consisting of 10 buildings, ISO certified.

The founder of “Kostanai Social Technical University”
The first president of Kostanai Social Technical University, the academician of international academy of the higher school of Kazakhstan, the academician of the International Academy of informatization, Honored Scientist, Doctor of History, professor, honorary citizen of the state Texas, honorary citizen of Kostanai, the knight of Parasat.

The university passed the governmental certification according to the order MES RK №807 from 2.11.2006.” On the results of the governmental certification and the control of educational activities of KSTU named after Zulkharnai Aldamzhar”
It was also conferred the certification of non-governmental science organization’s accreditation (series №0000104 from 17.06/2005 and quality certificate of the International Certification Centre “Russian register” ISO 9001: 2000 for 05.2999.026.from the 17th of October,2005, besides all these it was awarded to the International IQNET certificate № ru-05.2999.026 from –the 17th of October, 2005 .
By the decision of the International Fund Government from 23 of July “Kostanai Social Technical University” named after the academician Zulkharnai Aldamzhar “ was awarded a gold medal “Good performance in Business practice’. In the 24-25 of June, 2004 during the third international forum “Good performance in Business practice” the solemn ceremony took place in Geneva.
By the decision of the Committee Board from the 23 th of July, 2008 (act № 8) the magazine “The Herald of science of KSTU” is included in the list of the editions for publishing the main results of Candidate and Doctorate’s dissertations.
The chancellor of “Kostanai Social Technical University” named after the academician Zulkharnai Aldamzhar “ is Dzhamanbalin Kadyrgali Konyspaevich, the doctor of physical and mathematical science, professor, the academician of IAI
The International Educational Consortium was founded. The founders of this consortium were such universities as “KSTU after the academician Zulkharnai Aldamzhar’ , Ural State Technical University -UPI (Ekaterinburg, Russia) and Kazakh National Technical University in the honor of K.I. Satpaev (Almaty). Within the framework of The International Consortium we educate students on technical specialties of USTU-UPI (after the graduation you get the state diploma of Russian Federation) and Kazakh National Technical University in the honor of K.I. Satpaev.
